SleepTM is a telemedicine platform developed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for the sleep community. SleepTM is maintained and managed by staff at AASM. The platform provides live two-way communications (including video conferencing and phone consultations) that let providers and patients communicate in real-time.

No. As a patient you do not need to create an account to see your provider. You simply communicate with your provider to obtain their custom branded URL and discuss a convenient day and time to meet online. You enter your providers URL into your browser on your device.

We take your privacy very seriously. Laws are also in place to protect your privacy. SleepTM is HIPAA compliant.

No. Free for patients to connect with their provider.

You will have to check with your physician directly to see when telemedicine patients are seen. If you are a current established patient, you will most likely be seen by your own physician. Your physician will need to be a subscriber to SleepTM for you to conduct a telemedicine visit using SleepTM. Many practices using SleepTM treat telemedicine visits the same as a normal in-person visit with your own doctor.

A vast majority of practices are accepting a self-pay option as a convenience for both patient and provider. SleepTM offers a patient self-pay service whereas you may pay out of pocket with a credit card. You will need to check with your physician and see what their policy is regarding payment.

Yes, but a patient will need to sign up for an account. SleepTM Pro offers a patient a secure portal that is HIPAA compliant. Patients have immediate access to their medical history, test results, list of medications, education materials, schedule an appointment with provider, receive instructions from their provider via a secured end-to-end encrypted email and much more. Your provider must be a subscriber to SleepTM Pro.

Yes. SleepTM will automatically send patients two notifications - 3 days before scheduled appointment and 15 minutes prior to an appointment.

Simply enter your email address that you used to register your account and click on "Forgot your Login" click on the hyperlink "Reset your password"

The time varies based on several variables such as new patient, existing patient, initial consultation or follow up. The average time per encounter is 15 minutes.
